Breakthrough in mmWave Automotive Radar Testing Accelerated by New Collaboration between SPEA and ATS

SPEA DOT800 tester can now perform all necessary mmWave tests accurately, at a fraction of the cost of alternatives.

Italy, Israel, March 29, 2021 – SPEA, a world leader in the field of automatic test equipment, and ATS, an innovative Israeli test services provider, today signed a landmark collaboration agreement to integrate ATS’s Maxus88 test board with SPEA’s DOT800 family testers used in the autonomous vehicles space.

The collaboration will deliver an affordable test solution for 81 GHz mmWave automotive radar sensors used in lifesaving ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) applications.

“Our Maxus88 TOB (Test-on-Board) leverages Vayyar’s VYYR-7202, the world’s most advanced ultra-wideband RF processor, with 72 Tx/Rx channels operating across several RF frequency bands. It enables our customers to perform all necessary mmWave tests accurately, at a fraction of the cost of alternatives, while increasing test coverage and reducing DPM (Defects per Million) to provide crucial competitive advantage. Having four VYYR-7202 devices on the TOB, in close proximity to the device under test, drives higher accuracy and throughput while reducing cost per test” continued Tiv.
